Ride-N-Drive Policy
After the purchase of a tractor, combine, or vehicle sold with a "Ride & Drive" the buyer must test drive each unit on the lot ON AUCTION DAY. If the buyer finds a major problem with the engine, transmission, or final drives, it must be reported to the auction staff on sale day. If the problems are confirmed by the auction staff, the item does not have to be purchased. Ride & Drive does not allow the buyer to turn down items due to minor problems. Buyers or sellers are responsible for checking all fluid levels in all units. All sales are final once the item leaves the auction lot. All decisions made by the auction company will be final.
Buying
Q: I have never been to an auction. What can I expect?
A: While our auctions are quick-paced, rest assured we will not intimidate you or take your bid only because you blinked. We strive to make our auctions friendly and easy to understand for the first-time attendee.
Q: What do I do when I get to the auction? How do I bid?
A: Register to bid at the main office. In order to register you must have a valid ID. We require a bank letter of credit for first-time buyers. After you register, we will give you a bid card. We then encourage you to look over all the items closely. Remember, all auction items are sold as is, where is, so it is your responsibility to look over the items carefully. When the auction begins and you are ready to bid, simply hold that number up, so the auctioneer and staff will be able to see your bid. Our action staff will be happy to assist you and answer any questions that you might have.
Q: Is a preview time available?
A: Yes, there is always ample preview time available for you to look over the items and become familiar with all the items that will be sold during the auction. Previewing is Monday-Friday 8-5, and the Saturday prior to auction 8-noon. If you are coming from great distances to look at a consigned item, please call in advance to make sure the consignor has delivered it to our facility.
Q: If I preview and see something that I want to bid on, but am unable to attend the auction, can I place an absentee bid?
A: Yes, contact the office during preview time. You will be given a special form to fill out with the item number, description, and the maximum amount that you are willing to pay. Then, during the auction, the auctioneer will bid on your behalf, up to, but not over the designated maximum amount. Our auctions will have online bidding through Proxibid.com and (or) Equipmentfacts.com .
Q: If I purchase a vehicle or a trailer when will I get the title?
A: When paid in full, we will have the title in the mail to you in 15 business days. We will mail the title via certified mail.
Q: What form of payment is accepted?
A: We gladly accept cash, personal or business checks, or bank wire transfers. All items must be paid for on the day of the auction or as announced by the auctioneer.
Q: Is there a Buyer's Premium?
A: We do not charge a buyer's premium for those bidding on-site. For those bidding online, we normally charge a buyer's premium of 3% capped out at $1000.00 per item.
Q: Do I need to remove my items on the day of the auction, or can they be picked up at a later date?
A: You have 30 days to get the items off the lot. If there is a problem removing your items by the specified removal time, please inquire before the auction if any special arrangements will be available for later pickup.
Q: Will there be someone there to help me load up my purchases?
A: We provide complimentary loading. We do not supply tie-down materials or packaging. Simply ask any of our staff and they will be more than happy to assist you.
Q: Do you offer trucking?
A: We do offer trucking. Call us for rates and availability.
Q: I am buying for resale and do not want to pay taxes. What do I need to do?
A: You will need to fill out a MO 149 tax exemption form. We have these forms available at our office.

Terms & Conditions
All items are sold as is, where is. No guarantees are expressed or implied. Once an item is announced as sold, you are the owner and are responsible for it. It is the buyers' responsibility to inspect all items prior to bidding. No refunds. All payments must be made day of the sale. Payment may be made by, cash, check, or bank wire transfer. All items must be removed within 30 days unless special provisions have been made. All announcements on auction day take precedence over all prior releases, verbal or written. In case of a tie bid, the bidding may be reopened at the auctioneer's discretion between the two tie bidders. Absentee bids and online bids are legal and binding and the winning bidder must pay for the item(s) in full. Online bidders will be charged a buyer's premium. Construction, lawn & garden are subject to MO sales tax unless a proper sales tax exception form has been filled out. Ed's Machinery shall not be responsible in any manner for damages, caused by packing, loading, or transportation of any items once they have been purchased by the buyer. Decisions of the auction staff are final. Buyer agrees upon registration to be bound by the terms and conditions of this auction. There will be a $25 title fee charged to the buyer & seller.
